Here are a few of our major events in which APO participates:


Girl Scout Day

Girl Scout Day

Every fall APO hosts a day for Girl Scouts of every age to come to campus, earn badges, learn and develop valuable life skills. The event is organized by the Scouting Chairs and the VPs of Service, who plan and run the event, recruit members to teach classes and interact with the Girl Scouts.

Merit Badge University

During the spring semester APO hosts an day for Boy Scouts to earn badges. The event, run by the Scouting Chairs and VPs of Service, allows boy scouts from elementary school to high school the opportunity to learn skills including first aid, emergency preparedness, and cooking.


Project Linus

One of our most popular events is making blankets for Project Linus to donate to children in hospitals and shelters – this semester we have held weekly blanket making sessions in the APO suite!



During the Spring semester, our chapter holds a Formal for brothers to dress up and celebrate the end of the semester. There’s food, dancing, and always lots of fun pictures!

Family dinner

Every semester after Big/Little reveal, our chapter caters a free dinner to encourage bonding within our families! Unsurprisingly, this is always our most popular chapter meeting.


Festifall and Swing into Spring

To raise money to keep the chapter going, we have two season-themed fundraising weeks: Festifall in the fall semester, and Swing Into Spring in the spring semester. During the week, we table in the DUC and Bears Den, selling succulents and seasonal items like Pumpkin Pie (in the fall) and Lemonade (in the spring). At the end of the week, we host a final event featuring student group performances and the opportunity to partake in service with our chapter!
